Walema
My name is Walema Kwanza Ntele and I am originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Growing up, I loved school and playing soccer with my friends and siblings. I began working as a preschool teacher in 2009 in Cape Town, South Africa. There, I trained as a Montessori teacher and worked with students between the ages of 2-4 years old. I moved to Santa Fe in the summer of 2015 with my wife who is from Chicago, and also an educator. For 6 years I continued working as a preschool teacher until I joined RGS in 2021. I graduated from New Mexico Highlands University where I studied elementary education. I look forward to continuing to work with students and families at Rio Grande School as a Physical Education teacher where I can share my passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle with the community. I'm eager to share a high interest curriculum to get children excited about being playful and active!
