Sarah Harrison
Pequeños Lead Teacher
Sarah is beginning her fourth year at RGS in the Pequenos classroom. She is originally from Texas and has been in Santa Fe for almost 9 years. She has a bachelor's degree in Art Education and a master's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been teaching in various capacities for over 17 years. Most recently she was the director of a small, private preschool program here in Santa Fe. As an educator of young children, she finds inspiration from the Reggio Emilia Approach and the Children and Nature Network. Sarah has found that her background in Art Education and prior teaching experience have given her the tools and knowledge to help encourage and foster the many expressive languages of children. She loves the curiosity, creativity, and connections she gets to have every day in the classroom. Sarah also loves that as an early childhood educator, she gets to encourage and facilitate children’s love of the natural world. Outside of the classroom environment, she enjoys being active and exploring nature. She enjoys hiking, biking, and running in the mountains with her husband and two dogs. She also loves tennis, skiing, gardening, and cooking.
